Micro Keratin Bond Hair Extensions

Every installation is built around the client's natural hair. I customize the hair, colour, texture, bond size and placement rather than working from one standard set of extensions.

THE METHOD

Small bonds. Made individually.

K-tips, also known as keratin bond or fusion extensions, are attached individually. Working strand by strand lets me control placement, weight and density throughout the installation.

I work with micro bonds and adjust the size of each bond to the client's natural hair and the area where it will sit. The approach is personal: the amount of hair added and how it is distributed are considered together.

Made for different hair.

I work with many combinations of texture and density. These descriptions can overlap: hair may be fine and curly, or short and thick. Its condition also shapes the hair selection, bond size, placement and maintenance plan.

Fine & fragile hair
I consider the condition of your natural hair and how much weight it can comfortably support. Bond size, placement and the amount of hair added are chosen individually.
Curly hair
Curl pattern and movement matter as much as length. I look at how your hair behaves in its natural state so the selected hair can blend with your curls.
Afro-textured hair
Texture, density and your usual styling routine guide the match. We discuss how you wear and care for your hair before choosing the hair and placement.
Short hair
The starting length and shape influence where extensions can be placed and how the transition will blend. We talk through what is practical for your current hair.
Thick hair
A natural transition needs the right balance of density and length. I plan the distribution of the extensions around the weight and shape of your own hair.
Straight & wavy hair
I match the texture and movement as well as the colour, paying attention to how the extensions will sit alongside your natural hair.

CUSTOM MATCHING

Colour is only part of the match.

I look at colour and undertone alongside texture, density and movement. When appropriate, I blend multiple shades to reflect the variation in your own hair.

The goal is a match that feels natural in motion as well as in a photograph, with extensions that move and blend with your hair rather than sitting separately from it.

THE PROCESS

From consultation to installation.

  1. Consultation

We begin with your hair, your goals and how you like to wear it.

  2. Hair assessment & matching

I assess colour, texture, density and condition, then discuss the length and fullness that will suit your hair.

  3. Hair selection

The extension hair is selected for your individual match, including shades and texture.

  4. Custom K-tip preparation

I prepare the hair by hand into K-tips, adjusting the bonds for the planned placement.

  5. Installation

The extensions are attached individually, with attention to distribution, comfort and the finished blend.

  6. Maintenance & move-up

We discuss care and when to reassess your extensions. Removal, rebonding and reinstallation are planned around your hair, growth and the condition of the extensions.

REUSE

Your hair can have another life.

Suitable extension hair can often be carefully removed, rebonded and reinstalled, rather than automatically discarded after one wear. I assess its condition before recommending another installation.

I can also assess some existing extension hair from other methods for conversion into custom K-tips. Whether it can be used depends on its quality, condition and suitability for your planned installation; not all hair can be reused.

MAKHNENKO HAIR

MAKHNENKO HAIR is my own hair line, developed around my work in the studio. It is part of the individual selection and preparation behind each custom installation.
